Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses very thin needles which are inserted into specific meridian points on the body. The practice of acupuncture has been around for over two thousand years and has proven to be very effective especially for pain relief, balancing hormones, and chronic illness. Acupuncture modulates nerve transmission, triggers the release of "tight" muscles, promotes circulation to the affected areas, and decreases chemicals that cause pain.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a whole system of treating and looking at the body. It uses herbs, acupuncture, diet, lifestyle, and physical medicine to help the body function. TCM looks at all levels of a person and recognizes the mental emotional link to health.
